Yes. Your saved recipes are stored locally on your device and are available offline. Changes sync to iCloud when iCloud is enabled and your device is back online.
When creating or editing a recipe, tap the photo area at the top of the form and choose an image from your photo library. Smart Recipes does not request camera permission; take new photos with the Camera app first, then select them from your library.
Smart Recipes uses iCloud to sync your recipes automatically. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID on all devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings.
Check that you are signed into iCloud on all devices, iCloud Drive is enabled, Smart Recipes has permission to use iCloud, and you have enough iCloud storage. Then close and reopen the app.
Go to Settings in Smart Recipes and tap Restore Purchases. This restores any previous Premium subscription or Lifetime purchase associated with your Apple ID.
Go to iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Smart Recipes > Cancel Subscription. You continue to have Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
If iCloud is enabled, your recipes are stored in your personal iCloud account and sync across your Apple devices. They may also be included in your device backup depending on your Apple settings.
Use the Share Extension. When viewing a recipe on a secure website in Safari, tap the Share button and select Smart Recipes. The app queues the URL, downloads the page directly on your device, and lets you review the parsed recipe before saving. Recipe import requires an active trial, subscription, or Lifetime purchase.
Cooking Mode guides you through each step with large, easy-to-read text. It includes built-in timers, ingredient scaling, and tools designed for cooking while your hands are busy.
From the Shopping tab, generate a shopping list from planned meals. Ingredients are combined intelligently and grouped by category.
Pantry Mode lets you add ingredients you have on hand, then finds recipes you can make with those ingredients. It shows match percentages and highlights what is missing.
The AI Recipe Generator uses Apple Intelligence on supported devices to create custom recipes based on ingredients and preferences. Review AI-generated recipes before cooking, especially for allergens and safety.
AI generation requires Apple Intelligence support. Older devices may not have the required hardware or system support. Core recipe, meal plan, shopping, pantry, and cooking features work without AI.
Yes. Open a recipe and tap the share button to send it through Messages, Mail, or other apps. Recipients receive the recipe text and can save it to their own collection.
Install Smart Recipes on your iPhone, and the Watch app appears on your Apple Watch when companion app installation is enabled. Use it to browse recipes, view ingredients, and follow cooking steps from your wrist.
Smart Recipes supports Siri Shortcuts for quick actions such as opening recipes or asking for a random recipe. You can also create custom shortcuts in the Shortcuts app.
